Randomness 1

So September has arrived and is nearly away and life is crazy! Now that I’m the only youth worker in church I am starting to feel a little swomped!! This month has felt a bit like one step forward and three back! It has been filled with meetings, pastoral chats, program planing, designing programs and events, emailing, phoning and LOTs of coffee.
As I’m writing this I’m sitting in my local startbucks with a nice cuppa. I decided I needed out of the house and out of my office to do some prep for a meeting tonight and for tomoro that I have. So where better to do it?
I have now just taken my shoes off and curled up on one of the big soft sits with my iPad. (I feel I could sleep right now!)
Well anyway. I’m just trying to get into this blogging thing as I’m so bad at it so thought if I try and do a few random blaburings that it might help get me into it and I might find where my blogging ‘thing’ is.

So often we get stuck in are way of doing things and how we see it!! Maybe we need to look at things differently!!

Time for Reflection

Had another mentoring session today with Adrian. only one word can describe it… AMAZING. That man can really get you thinking and knows what to say and when to say it.

We talked about trust, letting go of hurts, building resilience, managing votentiers and ministry leadership.

I was not only challenged but inspired. Planing to continue looking and reflection on these topics till next time we meet. Want to also look into what I see are the key areas of ministry in Movilla and what areas then need focused on.

“Ministry meets the needs, Leadership builds the church”

This was one of the comments Adrian came off with and really got me thinking. One thing that we identified was that I often get caught up in the busyness of ‘Ministry’ (or the doing) that I dont have the time to put into developing the team and the tools for others to do the ‘Ministry’.

Lots of reflecting to do.

Ministry meets the needs, Leadership builds the church
— Not to sure!!
The leader commands the culture

New to this world!!

Well it has taken me some time to get round to putting something up!! Really cus I have no idea what to talk about or say really so I just thought let’s get the ball rolling and see what happens! Might b abit ropy at the start but let’s see how it goes!!
